I visited last Saturday with friends, and Uncle Nearest Distillery exceeded expectations. We took the guided tour and whiskey flight, and the history shared throughout was outstanding. Karen, our tour guide, was exceptional—knowledgeable, funny, and authentic.
Humble Baron was a great spot to eat afterward. The Master Blend was my favorite (I even brought home two signed bottles). The distillery is clean, accessible, and has plenty of parking. Staff were courteous and inviting, and the overall cost was very reasonable.
I’d recommend a visit to anyone traveling near Nashville. The only thing I’d love to see in the future is a simulation showing how Uncle Nearest made whiskey historically. Otherwise, an outstanding experience that feels rooted in real history.

Our tour guide, Xavier, and the property were impressive! Even better was the history and storytelling. I am so grateful to the team for uncovering this vital history and sharing the truth with the world. It was a beautiful story of skill, success, and prosperity.
My only ‘wish’ is that we could see a photo of Uncle Nearest! Maybe use AI plus the family photos to generate a somewhat realistic idea of what he may have looked like. 😁
We had an excellent time. I would recommend to anyone visiting the area and feel like the team considered every angle to make the experience worthwhile!
